Save Time and Money with AAA Notary Services and Passport Photos
AAA members save with our services every day. Plus, we have over 20 store locations for your convenience.
Below we’ve answered some frequently asked questions about AAA’s lesser-known benefits.
Does AAA Have a Notary?
Yes! AAA offers this service for AAA members and nonmembers.
We accept walk-ins for AAA notary services at some AAA offices. However, it’s best to call in ahead of time or make an appointment to be sure there is a notary on-site and available.
Find a location near you to make an appointment for AAA notary services.
What are Notary Services?
Notaries are unbiased, impartial witnesses to document signing that are appointed by the state of Ohio. They are often needed for any important legal or financial situation that involves multiple parties, such as:
- property deeds
- powers of attorney
- divorce papers
- business contracts
What is the AAA Notary Cost?
AAA offers free notary services to all members at all AAA Ohio Auto Club store locations. Nonmembers can also use AAA notary services but will be charged a small fee of $1.95.
What Do I Need to Bring to the AAA Office for a Notary?
Before you can get your document notarized, there are a few things that you need to bring with you.
- A valid, government-issued photo ID
- All completed documents. Depending on what you’re getting notarized, there may be multiple items that need to be reviewed.
You may also want to consider bringing your signature witness on-site with you while getting your documents notarized.
Can I Get a Passport Photo with AAA, Too?
Yes! Our Member Service Assistants and Travel Agents are trained to meet the special (and strict) requirements that need to be met when taking your photos. They’ll take your photo, print, and cut your photos out and send you on your way!
What Do I Need to Remember for My Passport Photos?
- Don’t wear white- The background must be white, and your top may blend in and make you look like a floating head!
- No head coverings- Only religious head coverings are acceptable and still cannot obscure the face.
- No glasses- No glasses or other face accessories.
- Neutral Expression- No smiling! Your expression must be as neutral as possible for facial recognition.
What is the Cost of a Set of AAA Passport Photo?
AAA Ohio offers a very competitive rate of $10 per passport photo set to members and $12 for nonmembers. Premier members receive a free set of photos every year as an added benefit.
Does AAA Process Passports?
Unfortunately, no. We provide photo services as an addition to our travel services; however, we cannot process your passport for you.
For details on passport processing, visit travel.state.gov for more information.
Can I Still Use This Service Even If I Don’t Need a Passport?
Yes again! You still may want to consider stopping into a AAA Travel Store to get your photos. These documents/permits also require a set of 2″ x 2″ photos:
- Concealed Carry permits
- International driving permit
- Foreign visas (i.e., Chinese Visas)
AAA International Driving Permits
After taking your passport photos, AAA can help you obtain an IDP. Even if you’re not planning to drive while abroad, it’s still a good idea to have one if you need to communicate with foreign authorities. In fact, many countries require travelers to have one.
IDPs are valid in 150 countries and include your name, photo and information in 10 languages. To obtain one, present a valid U.S. driver’s license, the two passport-size photos, and $20 (plus tax) at your AAA Ohio Auto Club store location.
We are happy to provide these valuable AAA notary services and passport photos to our members and clients to help them save time and money.
