Special Guest Dalene Heck shares travel stories and tips
PRESS RELEASE – Dalene Heck, co-founder of Hecktic Travels and 2014 National Geographic Traveler of the Year will treat travelers to 60 Lessons Learned from 60 Countries Visited during a special presentation at the AAA Great Vacations Travel EXPO.
Date: Sunday, Oct. 9, 2022
Time: 12-12:45 p.m.
Location: Nationwide Hotel and Conference Center in Lewis Center, Ohio.
In 2009, after being hit with a barrage of personal tragedies, Dalene and her husband, Pete Heck, decided to live by an age-old cliché: life is too short, and they needed to make the most of it.
And so they quit their corporate jobs, packed up their lives and hit the road for eight years to live a life full of adventure instead.
From teaching underprivileged kids how to swim in Bolivia to riding camels in the Sahara Desert, Dalene has a wealth of travel stories to share and an award-winning voice to tell them. Her meaningful style of travel has opened her up to exceptional, life-changing experiences that will surely inspire your own future journeys.
60 Lessons Learned From 60 Countries Visited will give guests insight into Dalene’s past nomadic lifestyle and what she learned along the way, including things such as packing tips and marriage advice.
This is just one of the many exciting events happening at the 2022 AAA Great Vacations Travel EXPO. The show will feature four travel theaters and six travel zones. Guests can find everything from close-to-home escapes to exotic dream vacations, receive exclusive event offers and giveaways, have a chance to shop for travel accessories and even book trips on the spot.
